Linksys Wireless Print Server Help

I recently purchased a Linksys Wireless Print Server (WPS54GU2) to hook up to my HP PSC 750 Printer. According to Linksys, this particular print server does NOT support my printer. I am wondering if this is true, or if Linksys was just trying to get rid of me? I paid a lot for this server and would like to get it to work.

If anyone can help me get it hooked up and running, that would be great. I have had this printer for about 4 years. It has been great and I do not wish to replace it just so I can print through my wireless network.

Have you attempted to hook up a different printer to the print server just to be sure that the print server functions correctly and has been installed correctly?

I would believe Linksys. Many printers, and most all HP printers require bi-directional connections. The print server will not support this.
