I have a Linksys wireless rounter/switch and since I have moved to this, my network is SLOW. When I try to connect to a shared drive on the network, it takes like a minute or so to connect and then once connected, it takes about the same time to open the folder. Once the folder is open, it seems to go just fine. The computers that are connected are connected via a cable and not a wireless card. Also, they are all 10/100 cards. If I click on something to copy it takes about 30 seconds to copy, but when I decide to paste it, it does just fine. Has anyone run into a similar problem like this with their network ? Also, if I connect it to my Domain Controller, it takes FOREVER to login to the domain. I have reloaded the 3 machines on my network thinking there was something wrong with one of them, but there is not. I am running 2000Advanced server for my DC and my two computers are running XP pro. It all runs the same when connected to the Domain or not. Any thoughts will help. I am at my ropes end!!
