I was recently given a Linksys Wireless USB Adapter (model WUSB12), but when I plug it into any device in the house I cannot access the Wireless network. The Power light lights up on the adapter but the Link light sits there and flashes slowly in a steady pattern.
The Linksys software says the adapter is "Active", but on the Wireless Network Status portion of the Linksys software, it says the state is "Disconnected". There is 0 on Signal Strength and 0 Link Quality.
I can't find any kind of helpful documentation about this adapter. So before I assume the device is broken and toss this thing in the trash, does anyone out there have any suggestions b/c I'm out of them.
Location is not an issue b/c I'm trying to set it up about 3ft from the wireless router (Linksys BEFW11S4). Also, the wireless network works fine b/c I have three other devices using it and all are set to Infrastructure. I've even tried this adapter on fresh loads of Windows XP and Win 2000 (which would be the primary OS).
Thanks for any ideas.
