Linksys ssh1.3

I have now tried every thing trying to connect my win me to Linksys befvp41 trough an Ssh 1.3 client but isn’t able to see linky.
I have don every thing described by SSH and Linksys is there something I may miss?
The linky is connected to a 48 port swits where all the LAN computers are connected.
Can it bee a small thing in the setup I missed?
