I'm just wading into the pool here with an inherited set of offices that are connected via Linksys RV042 VPN routers.

I have a Vista PC that I need to establish a VPN connection to (offices separated by 300 miles), and Linksys advises that they don't have QuickVPN client that's compatible. If I enable PPTP, will that have a negative impact on the other router-to-router and VPN client connections?

There won't be any problem, it will work fine.

I should mention that there is a limit of 5 simultaneous PPTP connections.

Thanks, smah! I'm selfish, but I really only care if 1 PPTP connection works, and that's mine! :)

I had this noob thought that if I configured a PPTP connection for this Vista machine, that it would somehow kill the router-to-router connections or mess with the QuickVPN users. Silly thinking, but I just got this configuration dumped on me and the closest office location is 3 hours drive away, so my nerves were a little rattled and I've got to learn the network scheme today.

Thanks again for your quick reply.
