Hi,
I have a win2000 domainserver, DHCP installed. Is connected with a hub. This hub is connected with 3 clients and a DSL-network modem. I would like to use the linksys router, and remove the hub. Witch changes do I have to make to the server. Disable the DHCP-service, remove his IP-adres and choose for obtain automatically? DNS adres for the server allso to automatically or use the adress from the router 192.168.1.1?
Please help because I do not find anything in the documantion.
Thanks

As long as the DSL modem is handing out DHCP you need to setup your router's WAN port to obtain automatically. The inside of your network is sorta up to you. It mostly hinges on which machine you want to hand out the DHCP. Since the routers settings would be obtained automatically I would just shut off DHCP on the server and either allow it to receive automatically or set it's IP address outside the range of the DHCP of the router. then set the DNS server as the address of the router.
