Linksys router as a switch?

Can I use a Linksys router w/8 port switch as JUST a switch if I disable the dhcp function?
I have a Linux server that I have set up as a dhcp server, a router/firewall, and also running samba services and I only want to use the Linksys as a smart switch and not use any of it's routing/dhcp capabilities. Is this possible?
