Linksys Quick VPN client not working

I have an RV082 (FW 1.1.6.3) and setup a VPN client account. When I try to connect via Linksys Quick VPN client, everything works fine until it says "verifying network". It then complains that the remote gateway is not responding. What remote gateway?
My client is on a Win XP SP1 machine. Do I need to do something with WinXP, or set something more up in my RV082?

Remote peer not responding is the VPN server or concentrator. It may not be responding to your request due to mismatch keys or lack of credentials. This could mean a number of things. What server are you connecting too?

I also have the same model Linksys with the most current firmware from their site and I also am having problems connecting witht he QuickVPN. I am not trying to connect to VPN to a server but just to the the network. The router is the end point.
Appreciate any help
