I've got a linksys printer router that I had set up on a laptop before. It was on an XP machine. Now, I've got a Vista machine, so I'm trying to set it up. Still have the setup disk and everything, it all works until the very last when it tells me to turn off the power, disconnect the cable from the router and turn the power back on. It tells me the connection has failed. I've got the firewall on the laptop turned off, and when the printer router is plugged into the wireless router, I can ping it. I've tried DHCP, and I've tried assigning manual IP addresses. Always same results. Even tried hooking up directly to the printer router with a crossover cable to see what was going on inside. Thoughts?
