Who can explain me the not so obvious settings in the linksys befdsr41w?

I'm having trouble with keeping the internet connection. After an whole hour the dns addresses goes all to zeros.

I've send back the linksys and get a new one in return, but i'm getting the same problems as before.

Who can help me?

Sounds like your IPS's DHCP servers are not responding well, or your authentication isn't setup correctly.

If this is cable broadband, clone your MAC address to the router. I agree with doug04 this sounds at first glance like an authentication failure.

If this is the Version 3 router, please see the following discussion of the importance of the newer firmware for the device in keeping a live broadband connection:

this product is actually a dsl modem/router in one with wireless capability and is only available in Europe . I think doug04 is right call your isp and have them check the settings on the modem and their line also.
