I installed a Linksys Etherfast 10/100 Lan Card in order to connect a DSL modem, and after installing it, my Samsung DVD drive stop working. I ended up replacing the DVD drive. The modem worked fine. Any reason why that occured? I have taken out the Lan Card to ensure that it does not interfare with my new DVDs. But I want to reinstall it.

-try to connect the LAN card to another pci slot
-try to get a new diver for the card
-check if there's irq conflict between the dvd and the LAN card
-last option return the card and ask for a new one, maybe bad card

you have irq errors.. basically that means the the dvd drive is having the same irq as that of your lan card.. try this install the card on another slot.. do that until you exhausted all the available pci slots.. if that does not work.. contact your mainboard manufacturer to set manual irq on the devices..
