Any ideas about this? I will post my answer if I find one:
Just installed the unit on our network. This happens when I set up the Linksys Linksys EFG120 NAS.
1 Used 192.168.0.77 instead of default 192.168.1.77
2 Subnet 255.255.255.0
3 Gateway 192.168.0.1
4 Went to this drive on Network Neighborhood in XP Pro.
Drive is F:
5 Created New Folder - which became
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\CD Burning\New Folder
6 instead of
F:\New Folder
7 but there is a factory default folder of
F:\EFG120
What is going on here???
By the way, Linksys Support 's___cks' big time. Their support from India takes forever, they have very unusual names (for US speakers), their enunciation is garbled, they use VOIP I guess which makes things worse.
I am going to complain to Linksys Support 800 327 7114, opt 1 - English, opt 6 - NAS devices.
Thanks - Dave
