- static IP (168.100.xxx.xxx) from our ISP
- zyxel modem 642ME plus
- windows 2000 professional machine
- axis 2100 network camera
layout:
zyxel ----> linksys ----> windows, axis
router setting:
-PPPoE is selected
-DHCP is enabled - starting IP 192.168.1.100
-block WAN request - disabled
-multicast pass through - disabled
-ipsec pass through - enabled
-pptp pass through - enabled
-mtu - enabled (1492 size)
-firmware upgraded to the latest one
zyxel modem is dumbed down:
windows machine: obtain IP & DNS automatically
ipconfig - IP 192.168.1.xxx
subnet mask 255.255.255.xxx
default gateway 192.168.1.xxx
axis camera: the IP is assigned manually to the camera using 'arp' command
ip 192.168.1.xxx
subnet mask 255.255.255.xxx
default gateway 192.168.1.xxx
http port: 80
the problem we are having is we cannot ping or see the camera from outside. we have tried opening DMZ zone & even tried port forwarding.
any help will be gratefull
