linksys befsr41 cannot connect to sonicwall vpn

i have a linksys befsr41 router and I am using dsl cable for my internet connection. I have no problem accessing the internet, but I am unable to connect to my office network which is vpn sonicwall. I get an error mesage saying that the client could not connect to the remote computer/remote connection might not be enabled on the computer. norton firewall was installed on my computer but I have removed it. Can some shed some light on why I am having this problem please.

Not all VPN routers are inter-operable, infact most aren't. To be sure of a connection, get a sonicwall in your house or a linksys in your office.

Enable IPSec passthru in your BEFSR41 and your Sonic client should work
