Hello!
I have been beating my head against a wall trying to connect to the VPN. It works if I go around my linksys BEFSR41 v2 router (plugging directly from the cablemodem to the laptop). "Works" meaning I can connect and see the network. When I connect through the router, I can't see the network. I've seen many similar posts here, but nothing that really helped me.

I have ports 1723, 49-51, 500, and 136-138 forwarding to the laptop. I also have the DMZ set for the ip for the laptop (the IP on the laptop is static).

Anyone with words of wisdom? This is driving me batty and I'm tempted to purchase another router, but since this router is supposedly VPN-friendly... well, you know.

FYI, I am on the latest firmware for the router, which is 1.43.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

Well, in case anyone was wondering, I never did get it to work. I did, however, purchase an SMC Barricade router (SMC7004VBR) and my vpn connection worked right away. Nothing special needed to be done. It. Just. WORKED.
