links to external page 1

Hello,
I have a masterpage set up that has various links to another web site. These links are all to pages on that page. Is there a way that I can set up a variable on my page, so that if the link site changes, I only have to update it once?

Yes you can.

In your code behind:
Public myLinkVar = "

http://www.google.com"

In the html:
<a href="<%=myLinkVar %>">Link to another site</a>

Also, it would be a good idea to put the variable's value in the web.config. It makes it eaiser to maintain, and you won't have to roll out code if there is a change.

Thank you all. I tried using <%# Eval("") %>, but that didn't work. didn't realize I could just add the variable. worked perfectly.
I will also take jbenson001's advice and add that to the web.config.
