Links that launch an RDP client?

This might be a dumb question and might not belong in this catagory, but this is what I'll be writing in, so I thought I'd start here. Is there anyway to have a link that launches an RDP session with the server name in the 'Computer' line?

I think you would need to add a custom URL protocol to the end users machine first, but after you do that you would be good to go. Take a look here as a starting place:

Also, there should be a lot more information on Google on how to manage this using some of the key terms from that page as search terms.

If the client doesn't understand the URL prefix than they are just goign to give you a message. I don't think there is another way to open a client-side app via URL (although I could be wrong) short of having the user download something that automatically opens with that application (for instance, with VNC I could have the user downlaod a VNC settings file and click the open bnutton to open VNC and run against that file).
