Links in Database Expert

Hello,
I'm interested in the purpose of the link tab in the database expert. I use sql commands over ODBC and I have to send complete queries to get the data. It makes no difference if I link them on the tab. Thanks for any help.

It will automatically link the tables together based on primary/foreign keys if pc database, or in the case of sql, it will link all fields that have the same name.

I don't use the this feature. I would rather just setup only the links I'm going to use.
