links in a report with multiple subreports

I have a main report that has two parameters a and b.
In the report I have inserted two subreports. The first subreport narows down data through two parameters (which are the same as for the main report), the second subreport uses one parameter.
I am trying to link the subreports to main report through the parameters.
I have trouble with the parameter from the main report that I want linked to both subreports. I save the first link and when I create the second one I lose the first one. I am in Crystal 6.0.

I get this same problem. What I do is to link my parameter to a field in the sub-report. Once I've done that and saved the report I go back and correct the link so that it is linking to my parameter rather than the field.
