How do I stop IE (5.5) adding a Link Folder to my favourites every time it starts up. I'm getting fed up with deleteing it, I just don't want it!

I don't know if there's any way. This folder contains the 'links' toolbar that is (or can be) displayed below the address bar. The only possibility I can think of is to make sure your 'links' toolbar is not in use. Go to View, Toolbars, make sure 'Links' is unchecked before you delete the links folder. But it wouldn't surprise me if it still comes back.
