Links Dropping from Files

This is my first post to this board. I have done a search to see if the discussion is already here, ut did not find.

So here is the question.

We are using Indesign CS on multiple stations. Working files are accessed across network on a Lacie File Storage server. We will create a file and place links to image files also on the server. Working fiels will be worked on and then closed. When we go to re-open multiple linked files will need to be relinked.

Is anyone else having this problem? Trying to figure out if this is a configuration issue, a file naming issue, or an inherent issue in InDesign.

I take it disconnecting to the file server doesn't cause link problems??
