I posted this originally in the web design forum but it makes sense to have posted it here. duh. What can I say its Friday.

Anyway

As far as quality links to raise your search engine ranking.

Is there a difference between an actual visual link or a url that is place in the meta tag or even a url or link that has been commented out.

The only link that means anything to a search engine is a text link and where ever possible you should use a keyphrase in the anchor text,

<a href=&quot; Blue Widgets</a>.

Commented out links mean nothing and meta tag links have more chance of been seen as spamming than anything else. Any link that is not visible or useful to visitors and SEs alike should have no place on the site!

Chris.

Indifference will be the downfall of mankind, but who cares?
