Linking URL to a web site

In a lotus notes memo how do I get a URL to link to a web site by clicking on it

Create the text you wish to act as the link. Highlight this text. Then select the menu options Create > hotspot > link hotspot. Ensure the type is "URL" and in the "Value" field enter the url that you wish it to be directed to. Note this must include the HTTP prefix. The hotspot will only become active when it is sent, so you will not be able to click on it until it has been.
