Hi,

I have two different tables (they have no relationship), can I create a report using both tables???

Yes, but do you mean the data in the two tables is not related at all, or just that you haven't set up a relationship?

Base the report on a query with a join between the two tables.

Hi tempclerk,

The tables are not related at all...

You can create two separate reports and make one or both of them subreports (with no links) to print them together. Need more information about what you want it to look like for a more specific answer.

The question that I have, is why data that is not related is on the same report? The fact that they are on the same report connotes that they should be related.

I did a subreport using both reports but the formatting does not look the same. What should I do?

Ok,

I created a new report attaching two existing reports (no relationship whatsoever). When I click to preview this new report I see a different formatting from that of the two existing reports. I want to view the new report with the formatting of the 2 existing reports. This is how the new report is set up:

Page Header
Distribution Election

Details: (Both are subforms/subreports
Report 1 (SERP Distribution Election)&
Report 2 (SIP/SESP Distribution ELection)

Page Footer
Date
Page Number

HOW is the formatting different? Do you just need to reset your margins? Are your subreport controls too narrow? Do they have boxes around them? Etc.?

Ok, I have so many blanks pages between the two subreports...I want the report to have a continuous flow.

Set the Can Shrink and Can Grow properties of your subreports and detail section to Yes, the height of each subreport to about one line, and close up any white space between or below them in your detail section.

It worked, thanks. Now I have one more question, I would like to create like a table of subtotals. Where would I put this at in the Report Footer?? Where???
