Linking to published movie URGENT

I can link to other director movies and certain markers in other movies when I am using un-published dir files but when I convert to dcr files and post on the web I get problems.

Is this possible?

Do I still link to a dir or do I link to a dcr?

Help please urgent!

Once you publish a movie as a dcr, then it can only link to either other dcr's or other html files. If you have a site consisting of 5 movies for instance, you change the code to link to the published files then publish all 5 of them.
