Hello,

I use IE5.5 SP2 as browser.

I find that when in the browser, clicking on a link to a pdf file gives me an error message something like, "Adobe Plugin: Not Found".

Strangely, if the Acrobat Reader is already pre-opened, the browser does find the pdf file!

Is there some way to fix this?...

I use Acrobat Reader 6.0.

I've looked at Edit/Preferences in my Acrobat Reader but don't know what I might alter.

Thanks.

In my office, we had some problems with people removing various acrobat reader plugins from the plugin folder in order to speed load time. It works, but then you can sometimes run into issues similar to the one you are describing. That may or may not be the cause of your problem.

I'd start by reinstalling Acrobat.
