Hello,

I'm a new user to Access so I'm hoping this is one of those easy to answer questions.
I have two databases. Database ABC & XYZ. A password was set to database XYZ. When opening XYZ and using the Linked Table Manager to link to ABC, I get the error 'Not a valid password' without being prompted for a password. Is there a way to link the tables at this point using Linked Table Manager? Also, I found that in XYZ I could Link Tables from the Export Data drop down and get prompted for the password. If a database is password protected is this the only way to link tables? I'd rather not do it this way as it creates 'duplicates' which I'd need to go through and delete.

I'm using Microsoft Access 2002.

Thanks in advance.
