I have come up with this crazy idea. I have decided to make a scale drawing of our datacenter (that's the easy part) which is going to include all of our racks and other items.

The crazy part:
I want somebody to be able to click on a rack and have it open either another visio diagram (seems easy) or open another page in the same diagram.

Does anybody have any recomendations on the best way to do this. If I keep it all in the same doc then it will be REALLY big really qickly. But it would only load once. Where if it is many docs it will take a little time to load each one.

Another quick question:
Is there anyway to do a mouse over event in visio. I want to be able to move the mouse over and make the text bold or bigger.

Thanks!!!!

You can add hyperlinks in .vsd documents by pressing Ctrl-k, then browse into the Address box, select Local file, then the file that you want to link. If you want to select a given page into the selected file then you can to select the required page in the Sub-address box.

I hope this can help.
