Hi Guys,

Sorry for the URGENT bit in the title. However it is causing me major brain ache.

I remember from my Sybase days that a Sybase table needed to have an index on it to be updateable from MS Access. I have now graduated to Oracle. Is this still the case???

I am using Access97.

I created a unique index on the Oracle table and I can update it. However why does Access insist on this?

Cheers

Access must have a way to uniquely identify each record to be sure to update the right one.

Hope This Helps, PH.

Thanks )

Here's a tip. Don't use an Append query to update a linked table to Oracle it takes ages....

Cheers
