How easy is it to link crystal to an access databse? does it require a odbc link? can someone post a how to link?

Thanks, PAUL

You can either set up an ODBC link, or connect directly, but this is based on your version of Crystal.

I'll assume that you're familiar with ODBC, so here's the direct connect steps in CR 9:

Under Create New Connection select the + next Database Files, if you need to connect to a Query, right click Database Files->Select Options and enable Views->then browse for the Access Database.

-k

It works well either way, but I'd suggest that you make a decision at the start whether you want to use ODBC, or Access/Excel DAO. When you inculde multiple types, it dramatically increases processing time when refreshing data and compiling reports.
