linking to a root file folder

how do you link one .swf file to another totally independent .swf file?..
specifcally on a CD (CD-ROM)?...keeping in mind that not everybody has the same drive allocation letter (eg; some have drive D: others might have drive G: etc...)

Keep all of your files in the same directory... or use relative linking

ie: loadMovieNum ("directory/sample.swf", 1);

or
loadMovieNum ("../sampleHome.swf", 0);
