I'm making drop down menus...where you roll over a movie clip and the menu appears. The buttons are inside this movie clip.

The problem...with the buttons inside the movie clip for some reason when I click on them, they won't go to the scene and frame that I tell them to, but if I put the button in the main page and not movie clip it works fine.

Can I get this to work or should I just work around it?

Thx for the help

From movie clips and/or movies loaded on other levels, scene names are totally useless. You have to use labeled frames. Thus, if your targeting frame 1 of Scene 3, label that frame with an unique label such as start3 (no labels starting with numbers!), add _root (from movie clips) or _level0 (from movies loaded on other levels) to your path and target that labeled frame:

on(release){
_root.gotoAndPlay("start3");
} Regards,
