Hello All

I have created a report with a parameter fields FromDate and Todate. Hence the report prints transaction which falls within these date ranges. I've also inserted a subreport which requires the same parameter fields, but the subreport does not pick up the parameter fields unless I insert the FromDate and ToDate fields in the subreport. This is very Cumbersome, as 4 parameter fields will now have to be filled. Is it possible to use just 2 parameter fields in the main report body and let the subreport link to those two parameter fields? If so how can I do that? Thank you.

Once you create the four parameters you can link the 2 in the subreport to the 2 in the main report.

Right click on the subreport in the design screen, and select "change subreport links".

Then move over the parameters from the main report, and match each one with the parameter in the subreport. Do not use the ?PM parameter that CR lists in the drop down. Use the parameters that you already created in the subreport. Ken Hamady, On-site/Phone Crystal Reports Training/Consulting

Thanks kenhamady your suggestion worked. I appreciate your assistance.
