I recently started to switch from quark as my primary layout tool. I can do evrything i could do in quark except link text boxes. I dont know how in indesign. thanks.

i have cs 2 so not sure if any different to cs, but to create a link first drag a text area with the text tool, input text...

...then, with either the selction tool (black one) or the white one select the text box. In the bottom right hand side you will see an empty square (it will be red if there is too much text to fit the current size), click on it and the mouse cursor will change...

...then you can drag out another text area and any text that won't fit the first text area will now flow into the second one...

...or you can create two text areas, and with the selection tools, set them both to link by clickig on that empty square (bottom right) and then click on the other text area before entering any text...

have fun!
