I have an access application which is using a password protected database as its backend. The problem is when i try to link tables to this database ( database utilities --> linked table manager ) the link is unsuccessful an a message box appears password incorrect even though the backend password has not been changed. Can anyone tell me how to provide the database password in the front end.

The best way to do this is to force the front end to use the same mdw as the back end. This will require you to log in when you open the front end, which will give you all the permissions you need for the back end.
