Hi Folks,
I am trying to link a subreport to a container report using date parameters from the container report. There are 2 date parameters in the container report: Start Date and End Date. The database field these are connected to, PURCHASE.DATE, is a date/time field. I am only using the date in the parameter. I use a formula:
{PURCHASE.DATE} in {?Start Date} to {?End Date}
to allow the user to choose the Start and End date.
When I try linking the subreport to the container report (using Subreport Links) by choosing lets say the {?Start Date} parameter field it does not let me select the PURCHASE.DATE field. I think this is because it is really a date/time field and the parameter is only a date field. How do I fix this?
I appreciate any help.
Thanks
Kamv

If I convert the date parameter to a date/time parameter it changes the the parameter for the user (they will have to select a date and time, instead of just date). Is there another way to do this. I am still pretty new to Crystal. Thanks for the help.

Create a formula: Date({PURCHASE.DATE}) and select that in the linking dialog.

Should this formula be created in the container report or subreport?
Thanks
