Hi,
I want to Link one specific task from my microsoft project file to another project file,s task, Is this possible to link in this way ? i,e when i click one + for a specific task it opens a task from another files task list which was linked to that file ?
I know i can merge that file in the first file and then do the linking but can I do the linking between two tasks from two different files.
Thanks in advance.

To keep life simple, put all projects in the same folder.

Assume that:
1. you have P1 and P2 and
2. you are editing P1 to create a link.

In the successor (or predecessor) type (omit the quotes) "p2.mpp\4" to link to task 4 in the other project file.

It is probably best to have both projects open simultaneously so you can make certain you are linking to the correct tasks.
