We have several Oracle Tables that we are attempting to link and report on with Crystal 8.5 Developer. Unfortunately the key fields in some of the tables are different data types, one a string, the other a number. Is there any way to link them via a formula or by using the Crystal Dictionaries?

Any suggestions welcome. I've thought that using SQL designer to recreate one of the tables may be the solution, but not an efficient solution.

Poor table design.

You can write 2 reports. In one of the 2 (it doesn't matter very much which one) convert the data type to be consistent with the other report using functions like Cdate, toNumber, etc. and then link the 2 repots to gether as a subreport with the data field and the formula field.
