Linking multiple .mpp files to eachother

Is there any way to link multiple MS Project files together to check for overallocation on multiple projects?

I assume you are working with MS Project stand alone. In order to see over-allocation across multiple projects in a stand-alone world, you need to set up a shared resource pool.
