We use the Tobit InfoCentre (XP) as our electronic diarising system at my place of work.

I have been tasked with building a simple database in access to store customer details. However, within these details there is a renewal date.

I would like to learn how to be able to link the renewal date (or preferably a reminder approx 8wks before the renewal date) from access to the Tobit InfoCentre diary system.

If the event should arise that I am out of the office and no-one else at present uses Access, then at least the reminder letters can go to the customers as the Tobit Infocenter will flag up that the reminder is due.

Is it possible to to do this, without manually setting the dates myself?

Your help would be most appreciated.

Start here:
Files>Get External Data>Link Tables..

The next window will have a drop down list, "Files of type",
showing the linking options. I don't know anything about Tobit, but you should be able to link it somehow.

Once the table is linked, you can use the "DateDiff" function in a query from your access table's [RenewalDate] to update the linked Tobit table.

If you need more help, you might want to post some more details.

You're not alone,
