linking it to database

I am trying to write a programm which will allow users to select an item and the result it should be saved into database (Access) is there any one who could help me to sort this matter.... looking to here from you all soon

This is not a question to answer, it is more of tutorial request which I think the space here will not cover.
C# step by step from Microsoft press or Professional C# from Wrox (Don't let Professional scare you, it is still introductory book) both have good tutorial material about connecting to databases using ADO.NET
