I'm an SQL newbie and trying to link some SQL tables into my Access front end.

It needs some data source info. I need to set up a DSN for the SQL dtabase, i guess, and the whole thing is confusing.

Can anyone point me to a site (or book) that explains this business clearly? (Or talk me through it - but that's a tall order...)

I recommend using the Link table wizard in Access. Select an ODBC file type. When the Select Data Source dialog is displayed, select the machine Data Source tab and click on the New button. Follow the instructions in the Create New Data Source wizard. Click help if you have questions about any of the fields on the screens. Terry
