I'm looking for an easy way to link Excel to Project. What I'd like to do is simply report work hours for a given resource for a given month.

View > Toolbars > select the Analysis toolbar
View > Resource Usage
Click on the button "Analyze Timescaled Data in Excel" and follow the prompts.

MS-Project 2007 doesn't have the "Analyze Timescaled Data in Excel" button. Is there something equivalent in MSP07?

According to the P2007 help file:

The Analyze Timescaled Data in Excel Wizard Component Object Model (COM) add-in is not included in Microsoft Office Project 2007. Instead, use visual reports to analyze your project data by using PivotChart reports in Microsoft Office Excel.
