I am building a report via a ODBC connect to a Witness Systems Server. I am currently using 40 data tables.
A few of the fields, contain the same data, but the field is named differently. Trying to link fields together.

example:
(MyTable1.AccountNum123)
(MyTable1.AccountNum231)
(MyTable1.AccountNum321)

What is the best way to link these fields? Formula, linking expert, or adding section for each field to details?
Thanks in advance.

Visual linking expert. You cannot link fields on a formula.

It sounds however like you may want to do a union query rather than what crystal calls a link. If this is the case let me know and we can discuss further.

Yes, How do I go about doing a union query? Thanks for your help.

I don't believe you can do a union query in crystal, you will have to do this on the database side such as create a view in MS SQL, then use the view as the data source for the crystal report.

What database are you using?

I'm logging into to the server direct and using tables from it. I wsa previously using a MS database, but I'm trying to get around that now.

If you are using CR 9, use can use a Union in an SQL Command.
