Ok.... I don't understand why I'm having a problem with this, but here it goes, let me be very specific.. :)

I'm trying to link two files.

Customer.DBF
OrderH.DBF

I select "link tables" in the table toolbar, then select "ODBC Databases ()". After that, I select the Data Source "Foxpro Files", click OK, and then "Free Table Directory". Then I click browse, and select the folder that my dbf files are located. Once that is done, the table selection window opens up, and I select "Customer" and "OrderH". Then it will ask me what I want my unique identifiers to be, and I select "cust_id" from "Customer", and "OrderID" from "OrderH".

With this all completed, the tables are then supposedly linked, right? Well, when I try to view the tables in Access, it gives me a "Cannot view the table in database in datasheet view".

Why is that? Can anyone help? I'm thinking maybe some sort of software problem? Help!

Never seen that one. Can you run a query against them and does it open up? Terry
