I have a query that lists Month, Day, and Count. What I want to do is have a parent report that displays one chart for each month showing day and count. I either get every chart 12 times everything on one chart. Is there some way in the sub report to say I just want one month based on the parent without creating twelve queries? I feel like I must be missing something simple.

Thank you!

Take the Day and Count record details from the main report so you have only one record per month. Either that or place the chart in a month header. Set the link master/child properties of the chart control to match the month fields.
