i don't want Internet Explorer to ask me whether i want to open or save it to disk....
help me please!!! this is an emergency....
thanks a lot!!!

fscommand and "exec"...

Read up on it here...

With MX, new restrictions apply... The fscommand subfolder, and batch file to open a specific file...

yeah, it worked...
but i want it as an SWF
is it imposible??
thanks a lot!!!

I'm looking to do the same thing. What do you mean it is only to be used with a projector file? I can make a projector file from a swf file by using the Flash player. But when I try using the same code as above to execute the projector file (.exe) nothing happens.

It doesn't work with a .swf, to my knowledge, but I'm not an instructor!
Thus if you create a projector from an .swf, rather than outputing the .exe from the application itself, than it makes sense that it wouldn't work also. Untested, but that's what I think!

Which application outputs projector files? Director MX?

i think i'll have to do everything with Director MX... it has everything i need...
thanks....

Ok I tried executing a projector file I created with Director. But the projector movie doesn't play until I shut down my flash movie. I'm thinking it is trying to use the same window to play the movies (Flash Player 6). Because when I close the flash movie the projector movie starts playing.

Within the Flash application itself... File->Publish Settings-> Mac or Windows projector files. Publish!
