I have an excel spreadsheet full of data that I must connect to our existing database.

Is there an easy way I can link the excel spreadsheet and database?

Yes, if the join is on a single field of the same data type.

Otherwise, you could use a linked subreport approach.

hth,
- Ido

view, e-mail, export, burst, distribute, and schedule Crystal Reports.

Can I link it from the database expert? It doesn't seem to work when I try to do it directly from there.

The dilemma I have is this.

The excel spreadsheet contents change frequently but not the column headings. I thought I could do is simply copy and paste of over the spreadsheet and it would automatically update the subreport but it's not doing that.

Is there any way to refresh the data easily?

Thanks

You most likely don't need a subreport. Just add the 2 separate tables, with separate ODBC data sources, to the report, and chose your columns.
