Linking a Report to Excel

I have created an Access Report which needs to link to a specific Excel Spreadsheet.The report has a field "Ser_No" and i need that Ser_No to link directly to the ser_no in Excel.

Ser_No = 345345 (in Access)
So when I open the report it looks at the Ser_No and embeds the details of 345345.xls directly into the report.

Ie The parameter is set by access to tell the report which excel spreadsheet to open
I do not want excel to open just embed the right info
Trouble is I cannot automatically create the link
