Hi,

I'm trying to link a .doc file to a report. What I want is that when a condition is true, the .doc file will be printed at the end of my report.

I've tried to insert the .doc file as an OLE-object in a subreport, but then I only get out the first page.

Any tips ? I'm stuck!

Thanks! Then I'm one step closer :)

Ideally I want to save the .doc file in the database as an BLOB and use this field in the subreport. Then it will be easy to change the .doc file without having to change the report. Have tried - but the BLOB field comes out blank. Must have something to do with my selection.

But the multiple OLE object solution will do for now.
Thanks again. Tried to search for articles myself with no luck.

Yeah, the BO site can be tricky to navigate,

You can use BLOB fields, if you elect to go that route, post your software version (crystal and database used).

One approach to consider is to change your DOC file, which technically is in a propritary format into an independent format like HTML or RTF. Crystal recognises both these formats in BLOB fields.

If you are interested, you could even use my cViewTEXT utility to load the RTF or HTML files directly into the report rather than using a Blob field.

DOC is a format owned by Micro$oft, so not supported dynamically inside a rpt.

There was another post in here today that wanted to do that (HTML), Chelsea, you might want to pass that along to them as well. They needed it to be dynamic.
